Rev. Dr. Weaver Blondin, DMin is the senior pastor of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, Winter Park, FL., affectionately known as ‘the Mount.’ He is a fun-loving person who loves people and loves doing the work of the Lord. He has a heart for teaching and preaching the Word of God, serving others and reaching those not yet saved. He is also passionate for seeing young people reach their spiritual and educational potential by helping them learn more about God’s goodness and the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Dr. Blondin loves serving the Winter Park community as Pastor of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church.
Dr. Blondin is a native of Philadelphia, PA and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior in 1989. He acknowledged and accepted the calling on his life to preach the gospel in 1998 and was licensed to preach in 2000 at Antioch Baptist Church in Fairfax Station, Virginia.
In 2001, Dr. Blondin accepted God’s call to serve as the full-time Children and Youth Pastor at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Herndon, Virginia. He loved serving in the children and youth ministry along with his other passions, which include evangelism and missions. He has been on many, life changing, spiritually enriching international mission trips to several African countries, Brazil and the Virgin Islands evangelizing, preaching, and teaching the gospel. Dr. Blondin was ordained in 2002 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church under the pastoral guidance of pastor, Reverend Dr. James L. Graham, Jr.
Once relocating to the Central Florida area, Dr. Blondin had the privilege of serving as an associated minister at St. Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Arthur Graham, Jr. He has worked in leadership capacities within Orange County Government including Orange County Community Corrections as an Administrative Supervisor and Orange County Great Oaks Village Facility. Pastor Blondin also volunteers as the Executive Director for Hearts for Ministry Foundation, Inc. and served as the Director of Operations at Frontline Outreach Ministries.
Dr. Blondin was educated in the Washington, DC and Northern Virginia areas and studied at the University of the District of Columbia where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Development from the American University and a Master of Divinity from Faith Christian University and Schools. Dr. Blondin received his Doctor of Ministry degree at Newburgh Theological Seminary and Bible College in Newburgh, Indiana in the Spring of 2020. In addition, Dr. Blondin is an Adjunct Professor at Union Christian Bible Institute, His favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
Pastor Blondin is happily married for 31 years to Dr. Karone Peace Blondin.
